Guesoa Keittio is a recipe publication. You can read every page of this site without creating an account, without signing in and without telling us who you are. This policy describes the small amount of information that moving through the site can produce, and what happens to it.

Information that reaches us

Three things can bring data our way, and only three:

• Standard server records. Like nearly every website, the server that delivers our pages notes technical details of each request: an IP address, the date and time, the page requested and the browser type. These records exist for security and troubleshooting and are cleared on a routine schedule.
• Email you choose to send. If you write to us with a question or a correction, we receive whatever you include in your message. We use it to reply and for nothing else.
• Cookies set in your browser. Described in the next two sections.

We do not run newsletter forms, comment systems or user profiles, so we never ask you for a name, a birth date or a payment detail.

Cookies on this site

Cookies are small files a website may store in your browser so that certain features work or so that visits can be counted. Guesoa Keittio itself keeps cookie use to a minimum. Aggregate readership statistics, when collected, are viewed only as totals: which recipes are read most, roughly where in the world readers are, and which pages people arrive on. We cannot pick an individual reader out of these numbers and we have no interest in trying.

Advertising and Google AdSense

To keep the recipes free to read, this site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertising partners operate under their own privacy rules, and Google's use of advertising cookies deserves a plain explanation:

• Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on sites that participate in its network.
• Google's advertising cookies may allow it and its partners to show you ads based on your visit to this site and to other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Managing cookies yourself

Every major browser lets you view, limit or delete cookies through its settings, and lets you refuse them entirely. The recipes here remain fully readable with cookies switched off; at most, an advertising slot may show you less relevant material.

What we never do

• We do not sell or rent any visitor information to anyone.
• We do not send marketing email. If you receive email claiming to be from this site that you did not request, it did not come from us.
• We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. This is a cooking site written for adults, and if a parent believes a child has sent us personal information, we will delete it on request.

Links leaving this site

Where a page links to an outside resource, that destination has its own privacy practices, which we do not control and cannot answer for. Check the policy of any site you land on.

Updates to this policy

If our practices change, this page changes with them, and the revision date at the top is updated. Substantial changes will be visible here well before they take effect.
